OVMesh is an independent, community-run network. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Meshtastic LLC, the Meshtastic project, the MeshCore project, their developers, or hardware manufacturers mentioned on this website.
References to products, projects, and manufacturers are descriptive and do not imply a partnership or endorsement.
Trademarks and software
Meshtastic® is a registered trademark of Meshtastic LLC. MeshCore is open-source software distributed under the MIT License. Other product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Operator responsibility
Configuration examples and operating guidance are provided for general educational purposes. Radio rules, permitted frequencies, power limits, antenna restrictions, and duty-cycle requirements can vary by country, region, equipment, and license status.
Each operator is responsible for understanding and following the laws and regulations that apply to their station and for operating equipment safely.
Reliability and emergencies
Mesh delivery is best effort. Terrain, interference, congestion, equipment failure, software defects, depleted batteries, incorrect settings, and unavailable relay paths can delay or prevent messages.
OVMesh does not guarantee coverage, availability, message delivery, confidentiality, location accuracy, or fitness for emergency use. Always maintain an appropriate backup communication plan.
Privacy and public channels
Assume that information sent to a public channel may be received, relayed, recorded, mapped, or retained by other participants or connected services. Do not transmit passwords, access credentials, sensitive personal information, or precise location data that should remain private.
Private-channel security depends on correct configuration and careful protection of channel keys. A private label alone does not make a conversation confidential.

OVMesh works to keep its guidance accurate, but firmware, applications, hardware, and regulations change. Information is provided as-is without a promise that it is complete, current, or suitable for every installation.
