Compare possible node locations
Coverage planners use terrain and radio assumptions to help compare sites before equipment is installed. They cannot account perfectly for buildings, foliage, interference, cable loss or changing network conditions.
Meshtastic Site Planner
Place a transmitter on the map, select a device or enter power and antenna values, then estimate terrain-aware coverage. The planner also provides point-to-point terrain profiles, line-of-sight, Fresnel clearance and link margin.
Open Meshtastic PlannerMeshKit Site Planner
MeshKit evaluates a proposed 915 MHz MeshCore site against known repeaters using terrain line of sight, Fresnel-zone clearance, link budget and estimated reach. It is community-run rather than an official MeshCore project service.
Open MeshKit PlannerUse the results as a comparison, not a promise. Confirm proposed locations with real radios and coordinate permanent OVMesh infrastructure through Discord before deployment. MeshKit’s full site-planning features may require a Pro trial or purchase.
